About Me

I am a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Rhode Island, working as a graduate research assistant in URI's ASSET Lab under the supervision of my advisor, Dr. Krishna Venkatasubramanian. My research focuses on the relationship between computing technologies and observed challenges faced by human beings, primarily members of marginalized populations. My goals are to understand how these technologies introduce and exacerbate problems that negatively affect people, understand how they can be used responsibly to avoid adverse outcomes, and use this understanding to create and deploy software to address the real-world challenges that people face. I am currently working on designing a taxonomy to help elucidate how AI-driven systems facilitate fraud and what the impacts are on those targeted.
